The City of Brotherly Love

View of the skyline from the top of the Rocky Steps

Maybe the city of sisterly love would be more fitting in this case since I was visiting my lady friends this weekend in Philadelphia

Seriously though, I had the best time spending Friday and Saturday in this city. I arrived at my friend’s townhouse in Society Hill in the early evening and we headed straight to dinner at a local Thai place.

And then there was the nightlife! I’ve been out in Philly before, but only to Barcade over by the Fillmore before a concert (as a side note, both of those places are AWESOME and highly recommended). On Friday we spent the night dancing away at National Mechanic and later The Plough & The Stars. Both places were packed to the brim with other twenty-somethings and were so much fun.

The best part of this whole weekend though, was the quick walkthrough of the city my friend and I did early on Saturday! We started in Society Hill and made our way through Center City all the way to the Art Museum and Boathouse Row. I want to limit *this* post about Philadelphia to just some of the photos I captured, as I have more to share that will be coming later this week. Here are some of my favorites, enjoy!

My friend, Mai, in Dilworth Park - she didn't know I was taking her photo ðŸ˜›

That's all for now! Stay tuned as later this week I'll be introducing a new type of post to the blog and it's related to my weekend out in Philly!

Until next time,
Jess
