Real Life Halloweentown

Happy November!

Now that Halloween has passed it feels like the Christmas season is just around the corner (or maybe even already here). But at least all of the candy is on sale for now!

Anyways, this was my first Halloween as a real adult (read: not at college hanging out at a dive bar) and I spent it doing some fun things.

Over the weekend, I visited some great bars at the shore in Asbury Park with my boyfriend and one of our friends from school. On Friday night, the first place was called Bond Street Bar and had three levels to it! We spent a long time hanging out in the basement where they had a live band playing. It was also such a great place to people watch since everyone was dressed up and the middle level had tons of picnic tables beside the bar for sitting and hanging out. Our next and last stop was Johnny Mac’s which gives out tickets for free pizza with each drink purchase. There was also skee ball which was tons of fun to do while drinking our beers.

Saturday, we ventured out in my hometown, where Triumph Brewing Company was having their second annual Halloween party, and we met up with some of my oldest girlfriends there. I had a blast at their 21st birthday back in April so I decided to check it out. It had a Stranger Things theme (just like the TV show, if you’re a fan, but I’ve never seen it) and was packed to the brim with people in costumes.

Once the weekend festivities came to an end, I spent Monday night at my Grandma’s house to help give out candy while we sipped on cocktails. She lives in the same neighborhood as me now and is the same place I went trick-or-treating when I was younger. Every year, there are so many houses that go all out with their decorations, so I decided to share pictures of some of my favorites here.

And of course I had to get dressed up one last time for the trick or treaters ðŸ˜›
