Winter Workwear & My New Wood Watch

Hello all!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and Superbowl Sunday (whether you were watching or not)!

After a very busy weekend it’s back to the work week grind. As a commuter, I’m constantly on the go and have to keep track of time and also have an outfit that’s perfect for both work and fun. Luckily, I’ve always been one of those people that likes to overdress a little, so my work style isn’t too different from what I’d wear on a casual day.

 

 First, I want to talk about one of my favorite accessories. I almost never leave the house without a watch, and I’ve recently added one to my collection that I absolutely adore! I just received the Frankie Zebrawood with the navy face and I’m loving it so far. 

This particular style is simple, chic and so unique. The navy face is a classic color and I love getting to tell people that the watch was hand-crafted when they ask me for details about it. It is definitely a great conversation starter!

I am constantly on the go (I literally write these posts and do all of my blogging on the train in the mornings and nights), so my watch is definitely a staple part of my wardrobe. How else will I keep track of time running to and and from work and then to happy hours afterwards – I need an accessory that’s both beautiful and keeps me on my schedule!

 

  This brings me to the next part of my post – my favorite new wear-to-work dress. It just so happens that in my latest online shopping binge I ordered a navy-scalloped dress that perfectly matches the face of my Jord watch (yay!) and I want to talk a little about this. I actually have this dress in a few different colors and styles because it is just so versatile and comfy – and every easy to dress up or down. My secret to constantly being on the go while still being dressed for any occasion? A simple, solid dress like this, understated accessories for work, and throwing some fun jewelry in my tote bag to add to my outfit at the end of the day!
