Thanksgiving Recipes

Tomorrow is Turkey Day!!!

This morning I got in an extra long workout at the gym to make room for all of the delicious things I'm going to eat tomorrow - including the desserts that I spent all day making, which I'm about to share the recipes for!

Pumpkin Spice Macarons

Okay, so first the macarons. I've made macarons once or twice before and have an entire book dedicated to making them, but the recipe I used today actually comes from here. I won't say they're easy to make, but this recipe was so straightforward and much easier than ones I have used in the past. The shell and buttercream filling are also both delicious!

Apple Butter Cake

And this was another slightly different twist on a recipe I've made in the past. Last time I made an apple cake, the recipe used actual apples and a yellow cake base. This recipe turned out looking more like a coffee cake and uses apple butter instead of fresh apples. While I can't vouch for this ones taste (this was the first time I made it), it did smell incredible in the oven and was a piece of cake (get it? ðŸ˜› )  to make.

Both of these are full of traditional Thanksgiving flavors but a little bit different from the standard dessert at the table, making them fun desserts to contribute to whatever your holiday tradition it is. I am SO excited to share these with my family tomorrow (and may even make them a second time for my Friendsgiving party on Saturday!).

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
